What we collect
When you join the waitlist: your email, ZIP code, community, and the kind of service you expect to want. When you request a quote: your name, phone number, ZIP code, community, optional email, and what you tell us about your mosquito problem. For either form we also log the page you submitted from, the date and time, and your IP address to prevent spam. We also count page views and taps on call buttons, per page and per day, to see which areas need help. Those counts carry no cookies, no IP address and nothing that identifies you.
How we use and share it
Waitlist: we use your email only to tell you when quotes open in your area, with one reminder at most. We don't share it with any company, and we delete it after we send that notice or 12 months after you sign up, whichever comes first.
Quote requests: we send your request to one licensed pest control company that serves your area so it can contact you about mosquito service. That company pays us to receive requests, which California law may treat as a sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell your information to anyone else or use it for unrelated marketing.
Phone calls: when you call a number on this site, the call goes through a call-routing partner, which connects you to a local pest control company. The partner and the company receive your phone number and call details, and the partner may record the call for quality and billing. The partner pays us for qualifying calls. We don't receive recordings, and the partner's and company's own privacy policies govern what they do with your information.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests for up to 24 months so we can resolve disputes and measure how the site performs, then delete them.
Your California privacy rights
You can ask to know what we've collected about you, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your information. Email hello@anklebiterla.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
Calls and texts
You can tell the company that contacts you to stop at any time, and you can reply STOP to any text message.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll post any changes here with a new effective date.
